Manufacturers tune one engine map for every market, climate and fuel grade on the planet — which means your vehicle leaves power and efficiency on the table. A professional remap rewrites that map for your specific engine: sharper throttle response, more torque where you actually use it, and on many diesels, noticeably better economy.
Every MLP remap starts with full diagnostics to confirm the engine is healthy, and the map is tailored to your vehicle and how you use it — not a generic file downloaded off the internet.
01What remapping changes
The ECU controls boost pressure, fuel delivery, torque limits and throttle mapping. A Stage 1 remap safely raises these within the engine's mechanical limits, transforming how the car drives without any hardware changes.
- Noticeably more torque — especially useful for towing and caravanning
- Sharper throttle response and smoother power delivery
- Economy-focused maps for high-mileage and fleet vehicles
- Full diagnostics before and after the map
02Done properly, not dangerously
Anyone can flash a file onto an ECU. Doing it safely means checking the health of the engine first, understanding the vehicle's limits, and having the honesty to say no when a map isn't right for the car. That's how we work — and why the aftercare matters: if you have a question after the remap, you call us.

“Got in touch with Myles with an enquiry around dashcams. Pre-sales over email was great — giving options and budget ideas. Kept us informed about when he'd arrive — fitting at home was a plus for us. Fitting was spot on — explaining the placement and reasons. Spot on — happy to recommend this local fella — he'll look after you.”

Frequently asked questions
Will a remap affect my warranty?
A remap modifies the manufacturer's software, so it can affect your warranty terms — we'll always talk you through this honestly before starting. Many remapped vehicles have no issues at all, but you should know the trade-off upfront.
How much power will I gain?
It depends on the engine — turbocharged diesel and petrol engines typically see meaningful gains in torque and bhp. Tell us your vehicle and we'll quote you realistic figures, not fantasy numbers.
Can remapping improve fuel economy?
Yes, especially on diesels: extra torque means the engine works less hard at motorway speeds. Many owners see better real-world economy — if you drive it the same way.
Is it reversible?
Yes. We keep the original map, so the ECU can be returned to factory software if you ever need it.
Which vehicles do you remap?
Most modern BMWs, Range Rovers, Audis, Volkswagens and other mainstream makes. Tell us your vehicle and we'll confirm what's possible before you commit to anything.
